The Office of E*ntrepreneurship provides leadership and coordination for cross-campus entrepreneurship curriculum, activities, student idea competitions and the office stages several events focused on enhancing the student, faculty and alumni experience at Rensselaer.
The Office of the Vice Provost of Entrepreneurship oversees the infusion of entrepreneurship across all of the Institute curricula and is responsible for exposing all Rensselaer students to the concept and possibility of starting their own businesses. More than 1,500 students participated in these activities last year (approximately 1/3 of the undergraduate student body), with more than 225 working toward their certificate in entrepreneurship. Twenty percent of faculty across all schools are participating in adopting some of the teaching materials and are taking advantage of the programs through their courses. Some 104 courses are now infused with Entrepreneurship content (across all schools) and listed on the Vice Provost’s website under a coursefinder tab , more than a dozen dedicated solely to a specific topic in entrepreneurship or technological innovation. The Office of the Vice-Provost for Entrepreneurship focuses on exposing undergraduate students to entrepreneurship; however the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship offers a sophisticated array of programs and services more closely aligned with the mission of the I-Corps Node mission and objectives.
